2019’s Escape Room was a trashy, enjoyable horror movie that pitted clever people against fiendish, lethal puzzles. The sequel, Tournament of Champions, dumbs down the puzzles, revs up the action, and misses the point. Insidious: The Last Key director Adam Robitel and Escape Room stars Taylor Russell and Logan Miller return for round 2. Premieres in theaters on July 16.
